Happy Birthday - Bella-Emerie April 29

A bouquet of Flowers for your Birthday

" begin writing the story of your life one moment at a time"

My Invitation to Everyone

Hello Family,

Thank You! For all your birthday greetings. Can you imagine, I am now 3 years old, and I am thanking everyone with a smile, for smile is the beginning of love and I always love everyone in the family. I continue to smile to the world that is bringing me closer in learning how to use the time to find my dreams and wishes to come true.

I am growing fast, seems like 3 years came and went by with a blur, every each time that I was visited by my grandparents then, I proudly show new things I have learned. From showing all my main body parts, showing my dance “giling-giling”, “sayaw-darling” moves, scrunching my face when they mention, “sinong bantot”, grunting looking tough when they ask me “sinong matapang”, responding back in “Tagalog” with my one liner words; of “ayaw”, “gusto ko”, “wala”, and doing my “mano” and I am able to differentiate the different sound of animals.

Well; that was then….today, I now answer the phone, and converse from Hello! To saying “Wait a minute!” or “Later on!” I now recite all the alphabets, counting and identifying the numerical numbers, conversing and completing a whole sentence, singing my song with Stevie Wonder, to the tune of “Building my castle of Love” and every little girl I meet is my cousin?

Also; my Mommy tells my Grandma Connie that I am a “sumbongera”, because I tell the truth, like Dada crush the car… (repeat). Dada crushes the car… (repeat). Grandma Connie, El is running around, El is sick… Grandma Connie, Bird dodo Mama car, Mama scared the bird, bird fly away. Here is the best one, Mama “palo” me and I accompany it with facial expression when I tell my Grandma Connie.

I now read my “Curious George” book about pizza and ice crème. Besides that I now also ask everyone to read to me a book and I love to watch “Filipino” movies with my Grandma Ana. What is great is that, I am excited to go to school and my family is just as excited in anticipation. By the way, I am now “potty train”…yeah, no more of that soggy… one??

Life is full of beauty at this stage of my life and I recognize  and notice it, I am finding more encouragement to my world bringing and learning closer towards my potentials showing my proud parents the joy of my preciousness and learning to strive in power in majestic excellence towards my bright future. On my birthday, I pray and thank my family drawn to my care. I pray that I will grow with my parents structured guiding ways, with their brightening love leads each new day for my quest to success.

I will continue to instill courage, determination and the will to become the beautiful human being everyone in the family hope and believe I am  meant to be with my developing mental intelligence, physical confidence, and spiritual strength in faith that I know are my God given special attributes.

I will continue dreaming for every great dream begins with a dreamer like me, always remembering, I have within me the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change my world to my fullest potential. Thank you for your best wishes and greeting on my birthday. Please join me and my family celebrates my birthday.

I love you all with all my heart.

My First Birthday -2008

My first birthday with my parents and Mulan

The best thing about loving and being hurt is that you get to know what true love really is. For as gold is tested in fire, and so will love be perfected in pain.

Dearest Mommy and Daddy,

My face is a magic mirror because I belong to both of you, when you look at my face, we’re together, you see the past, present and the future and that is why my arrival was God’s opinion that our world should go on. It is my birthday and I am your creation of love.

Mommy and Daddy, I love you both and the world that surrounds the two of you.

Bella-Emerie

 From the Family...

My First Arrival...

made your wish came true, now I will spread cheers and smiles to the delights of everyone!

My First Weigh-In!

April 29, 2007

Of all God's Children
I have the purest heart.
With innocence and faith,
I walk in Love's protective light.
By giving of myself freely
I am richer and twice blest.
Bonded by all human kindness by
common family togetherness,
my goodwill is universal
and knows no bounds, here I am,

the NEW family addition...my name is...

Bella-Emerie Lourder C.

Between now and then, I'll be loving you with my precious smile, my tender touch, that speaks the true language of love.

My infant heart’s love can give you what you need, like a budding rose; you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong. Remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snows, lies the seed that with the Sun's love, in the spring becomes the new kind of Rose….called "Bella-Emerie Rose".

My First Family! with my first Video ...

My family is my fire, the flame that keeps me warm, lights my path, and fuels my heart. My family is my past and my future; it is my canyon and bridge, it is also my deepest source of pain and my greatest cause for joy. My family is a window in the mirror reflecting what is near and far away, what I can and cannot see. It is my foundation and my roof and the walls that reach between and it is the sum of numbers that I have yet to count.

Grandma_video

My family is love in little pieces, like a puzzle and each part has its own place. It is also the rain that waters my garden; washes clean my disappointments and quench my thirst for belongings. My family is my tree that grows both roots and branches, it is the soil from which I grow and the field to which the wind returns my family seed to multiply. My family is also the starry sky which lights the dark night of my fears and by which I navigate through oceans of hearts yet uncharted, my family ME !…Bella-Emerie

My First Visit with Grandma Connie! July-August 2007

grandma connie

"Life without Grandma's love is like a harp without strings."

I visited Mama' Connie for a week. Grandma of course was excited making sure all my needs is in-placed. Together with Grandpa Basho, she made sure the guest room is prepared for my arrival …come Monday morning. After caring and raising my Daddy and Auntie Jennifer, she is again in a reality check; but caring for me is not nearly as easy as it seems. Together with an instruction that my Mommy to follow, it was also important to know the proper techniques for caring for me so that I remain healthy and in good hands. Grandma understood the task can be frustrating, but extremely satisfying as she prepared herself for me by reading books on how to baby sit an infant.

At the same time my Grandpa Basho was tasked to surf the Boeing Wellness for Babies and was able to come up with at least six infant task; holding the baby, feeding the baby, changing the baby diaper, bathing the baby, and putting the baby to sleep. It was apparent that Mama' Connie with emphasis the delicateness and the proper approach in detail corresponding to the instructions provided by my Mommy and not for her to go too fast under the assumption that she’s not a first-time baby-sitter. However; an emphasis that her experience of raising my Daddy is not considered a child expertise and is different from general infant baby-sitting. I am delicate and Grandpa Basho made sure that the check list is in order; the phone number of all the places that my parents will be and to have the number of my pediatrician.

I finally arrived and Mama' Connie was very excited…together we got acquainted right away; perhaps it was a gene-instinct. My feeding time was followed accordingly, after my naps, book was read to me and talking to me was in order. Grandma and Grandpa took turns talking to me, I responded back with gestures of my smiles and winnowing sounds with my open mouth. Mama' Connie read to me slowly with emphasis of vowel sounds, she sang to me, recited poems and of course we played lullabies and calm soft music. Mama’ Connie observed me during my naps and told my Grandpa how I was emerging beautifully. When Grandma played with me, she and Grandpa were amazed how I tried to control my body movements that are reflexes and as the day(s) went by seems like they figured out how I was showing my gratefulness, and my trust as I try to hold my head up for a short period of time to look at them with my open mouth, and if only they know, I was trying to say …thank you. Grandma and Grandpa felt my trust as they tried to meet my needs, changing my diapers when needed, feeding me when it was time for my feeding, and holding me when I cried. Grandma made sure I was not frightened or surprised but at times I cry to express anger as well as hunger but they know that this is my way of communicating! During my visit with Mama' Connie, I was also visited a couple of times by my Auntie Jennifer.

Grandma and Grandpa took turns cradling and comforting me, they  love my smiles and my pleasant sound and when my stomach is full, I smiled broadly, laughed when please and I recognize their faces and their voices differs from my Mommy and Daddy. I babbled, cooed and gurgled and when they held my feet and hands for my mild exercise I watched intently and I showed them how I make turns to locate where the source of their sounds were coming from.

Grandma Connie tried to move bright objects in front of me and I was able to able to follow the movements with my eyes. Mama’ Connie noticed my ways of crying in many different ways to express my hunger by moving my head side to side, my anger when I jerk  my body upward specially when I can’t get myself to a comfortable sleeping position. I certainly had a wonderful time with Grandma Connie and Grandpa Basho, but Friday came too soon and…their week’s vacation is over. Next time I’ll visit longer….

My First and only Baptism!

This very special day, see if you can stretch your heart and expand your love so that it touches not only those to whom you can give it easily, but also those who need it so much...thanks for the much love you share to each other during my Christening.

Bella-Emerie, at your very tender age, you can perhaps just recognize my feature or recognize my voice when I say, “you’re so pretty” and I know in our bonding creativity you already have the ability to introduce order into the randomness of nature. First I want to congratulate you on your Christening and together with everyone in our family we take part on a spiritual journey, a moment that bridges the symbolic with the literal and the momentary with the eternal.

It was an honor for everyone in the family and with your godparents to witness in participation during your central act of Baptism during which time the priest poured the consecrated water on you, making the sign of the cross three times, signifying your christening in the name of the “Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost” in accordance with Christ’s commandment. Our commitment overseeing care behind the scene from your parents and godparents is meant to last a lifetime attained in His Almighty presence.

Together with everyone in our family, we extend a beginning prayer asking the Lord to pour out His blessings to you as a new Christian, to guide you in your journey to greatness, sharing and showing our family the joy of your presence, may you grow up striving in power and majesty and in excellence in your heart’s goal attained.

You are the new family addition regarded as the new strength and the new face of the future. In your new world, the sun still rises in the morning, but the skies are a different color. Every turn is a discovery and a lesson; ideally you will find that lessons bring you closer to learning how to use the time to find your dreams. May you have all the nisus impulses of calculated effort to be able to obtain your specific goals in life.

We extend our ultimate share of love to your proud parents in Christ to an abundant life of peace and harmony.

My First Formal Picture?

"Love in my family is a noble act of self-giving, offering trust, faith, and loyalty. The more we love each other, the more we lose a part of ourselves, yet my family doesn’t become less of what we are; we end up being complete with our loved ones....simply because I just fit right in every which way in my family, I am love and I am Bella-Emerie" ...(4 months old)

My First Halloween!

My Mommy and Daddy spent an entire weekend searching for a cute, quick and easy Halloween costume and found lots of them – by all means my Daddy got me wearing different costume…so check it out for yourself.

Everything you can imagine is real...

Imagination is more important than knowledge...

My First Vacation!

I would like to first thank my Mommy and my Daddy who thoughtfully made the travel choices, decisions and creating our itineraries treating ourselves the flavor of vacationing in the Big Island of Hawaii. This is my first family vacation to Kona, Hawaii and I think it is my gift for reaching my six months of my infant age. It is very good to see this other side of the world with my Ninang Cyn, Ninong Jun, Ninang Steph and Uncle Ariel who also traveled with me and I would like to share to everyone in our big family about my experiences bridging my early understanding and enlightenment of discovering the world ever beautiful and large where boundaries divides; travel unites… my eyes are awesomely excited as this place is full of beauty and charm and is quite a  unique to experience;  oh, I was always the center of attraction whenever we go out. We visited the volcanoes, went wine tasting, attended a luau, swam at the beach, hiked in the rainforest and lava tube, and finished the vacation off with an oceanfront dinner at Jameson's by the sea. I have had my share of full meal, a bowl of watered down cereal finishing off with a bottle of milk!

My Mom and Dad took very good care of me dressing me with a Hawaiian dress, putting Plumeria flower in my hair and I look cute and very beautiful. I was also complimented by my Uncles and Aunties as they say that I was very good girl whenever we traveled the Island in visiting different places. I certainly enjoyed my first vacation and I loved every minute of it! Thank you...Mommy and Daddy.

my eyes are awesomely excited as this island place is full of beauty and charm...

Like the elephant, I am unconscious of my own strength while still in my infant stage,  but  sooner I’ll come to understanding the power to make a difference in my own life as I grow, right now I still need help but someday I will make my dreams come true. I will be in my own strength and follow the role in my own destiny…thank you Dad for holding me steady.

My First Christmas!

christmas

I was eight months old on my first Christmas and my first New Year, while my family were all busy setting aside some of their daily routine to send their heartfelt message to all of our family love ones and friends, I was fascinated with the Christmas glitters of bright colors of different kinds, I don’t know what each color signifies, but someday I will understand, I am blessed with this passionate life and my wonderful parents hold dear true hope and peaceful love for me. I am not able to say Christmas or Happy New Year yet but I was part of our family Christmas celebration.

My smiles and whatever words I can utter right now are simply words of joy that I can share to everyone. I have seen quite a few Santa(s) and they said that he is coming to town and I even don my Santa outfit to be ready for this. I know it happened, someday I will certainly feel good to say Merry Christmas to all of you all…and I wonder how it is going to feel.

My first Christmas time, so beautiful, so special to me and to all my family and all the gifts under the tree, I wish I can sing now and bring joy to it. Everyone looks happy, I am glad to be around happy people, I am glad I am part of this big family…but I wonder how it is going to be like when I grow older and to be able to say Merry Christmas and to be able to understand the spirit of it all.

My First New Year!

In my colorful outfit preparing myself and waiting for the hour to come…12 mid night…to celebrate my first New Year, at the same time watching everyone screaming, and feasting the wait radiates warmth and quietly builds up to the dramatic gong sound of a giant ball coming down to the tune of 4…3….2….1 being shown on television showing joyful celebrants dancing and greeting “Happy New Year”…what's up?

My First Easter!

This Easter, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for touching my infant stage of my life with your love, with your kindness of generosity when you give me money for my “piggy bank”, with your wonderful gifts, and as you know with all your caring and tender loving care during all the times that I have visited you, you brought courage and confidence in my moments of development. I do not know the meaning of Easter yet, but the beauty that I possess inside will someday be a sense of pride in our big family. The greatest love of all is happening to me because of all of you…Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles, “Ninongs and Ninangs” and cousins.

Some day, I will be able to understand  what colored eggs and Easter rabbits have anything to do with Jesus??? How did these seemingly irreligious symbols come to be associated with Easter?

My First Aquarium Visit!

Last Saturday, January 12, 2008 Bella-my Grandma Connie and Grandpa Basho took me to the La Jolla Birch Aquarium. It was a busy day for me as I had prior attended my Mommy’s morning Lawyers Parent/Baby interaction meeting. During that meeting I was noted for as a girl and the attraction amongst the other babies and I was given a "five stars" rating by the parents.

Grandma Connie and Grandpa Basho knew that I am very excited observing sea creatures and they thought that taking me to the Aquarium will give me a sense of wonder and connection to Nature's Ocean wonders. We were late because of my feeding time and missed the 2PM show, however; as we entered the show room exhibits, I basically became fascinated with the live fish as well as the sight and sounds that each aquarium emanated. Then we wandered to the Tide Pool Plaza, featuring three living tide-pool displays where one can touch and learn about the tide-pool animals with docents, I had a close up view of brilliant sea stars, hermit crabs, sea cucumbers, lobster and some other unique animals that certainly are local to San Diego’s tide pools. I wanted to touch those unique creatures but my Grandma Connie held my exploring hands. However; it was a busy day for me and according to my body clock schedule, I should already be sleeping. During this time, my eyes were getting droopy but when Grandma said “bath…bath” I thought I’ll be given a bath on the pool and got excited. They tricked me; my excitement gave them enough time to show me the aquarium nursery. (Grandma...it is time to go home...time for my beauty rest....I want to take a naaaaaaap....)

I was able to peek into the aquarium’s nursery and viewed miniature fishes that are bred and raised by the institution’s aquarist. But by then I was getting tired and it was time to take my nap. When I will grow up I will of course understand this conservation effort of these wild species. Thank you for taking me there…

Bella-Emerie is intuitively sensitive yet unique to others close to her…she is a baby who is in her heart can know when a parent or other needs a kind word, a hug, or some friendly baby talk-conversation…she is a “cure all” medicine.

The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life... my grandma is a great caretaker for all the moments in time with her.

With both our hearts and minds, we can build caring situation, guide her way developing wisdom and emotional strength along with her intellect and physical strength, and instill balance, intelligence and an appreciation for awareness within family and the environment.

A true family grows and moves through life together, inseparable in the heart... whether a biological family or an extended family of people attracted to each other based on heart resonance and mutual support, the word "family" implies warmth, a place where the core feelings of the heart are nurtured...Bella-Emerie, you will always have a place in my heart.
